Tattoo & PMU Removal at Paramed (Baku)
Laser removal of tattoos and permanent makeup. Browse service pages with preparation, aftercare and FAQ.
Tattoo removal at Paramed runs on a Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser: an ultra-short pulse shatters the pigment into particles small enough for the lymphatic system to carry away. The skin itself stays intact, so the design fades session by session rather than being burned off. Pricing follows area only — from 50 AZN for a tattoo up to 10 cm² to 250 AZN for an area up to 200 cm².
Nobody can tell you the exact number of sessions in advance; only a test patch on your own tattoo gives an honest answer. An amateur piece usually clears in 4–6 sessions, a densely packed professional one in 8–12, spaced 6–8 weeks apart so the body has time to clear the shattered pigment between visits.
Colours behave differently. Black and dark blue go fastest. Red, orange and brown are slower, and green and turquoise are the most stubborn — they need a separate wavelength and more sessions. White and skin-tone pigment are left alone: under the laser they oxidise and darken, which is harder to fix than the original tattoo.
Two cases work differently: permanent makeup on the brows (80 AZN), and lightening a tattoo before a cover-up. For a cover-up the design does not need to go completely — 2–4 sessions are usually enough to thin the pigment and give your artist room to work.

Frequently asked questions
How much does tattoo removal cost in Baku?
Price is set by area: up to 10 cm² — 50 AZN, up to 20 cm² — 75 AZN, up to 50 cm² — 100 AZN, up to 80 cm² — 140 AZN, up to 100 cm² — 160 AZN, up to 200 cm² — 250 AZN. Brow permanent makeup removal is 80 AZN. That is per session, not for the whole course.
How many sessions does full removal take?
An amateur tattoo typically clears in 4–6 sessions, a dense professional one in 8–12. Depth and density of the ink, its colour, the age of the work and its location all matter — areas closer to the heart clear faster, hands and feet slower.
Will it leave a scar?
The Q-Switched pulse targets pigment rather than skin, so the procedure itself does not scar. Scarring can show up if one was already there from how the tattoo was applied, or if crusts are picked and aftercare is ignored.
Does it hurt?
Most people compare it to a thin elastic band snapping against the skin. Sessions are short — a small tattoo takes a few minutes — and the area is cooled before and after. Topical anaesthetic can be applied 30–40 minutes ahead if you are sensitive.
Which colours are hardest to remove?
Green and turquoise are the most resistant and need a separate wavelength plus extra sessions. Red, orange and brown clear more slowly than black. White and skin-tone pigment are not treated, as they darken under the laser.
Can a tattoo just be lightened for a cover-up?
Yes, and it is a different goal. A cover-up does not need bare skin — 2–4 sessions are usually enough to thin the pigment so your artist has freedom with the new design. Come with a sketch, or bring your tattoo artist along.
