Overview
ParamedFotona StarWalker is Fotona's dedicated laser for tattoo and pigment removal, based on Q-Switched Nd:YAG; newer models add picosecond modes, per the manufacturer. Harmony XL Pro (Alma Lasers) removes tattoos with its Q-Switched Nd:YAG module (1064 and 532 nm): short pulses break pigment into particles the body then clears. Paramed doesn't have a Fotona device — we remove tattoos and permanent make-up on Harmony XL Pro. Contraindications apply.

How removal goes
ParamedAt the consultation the doctor assesses the tattoo's colour, depth and age and does a test. A session on a small area takes a few minutes, followed by cooling, healing care and sun protection.
How the methods work
ParamedA Q-Switched laser delivers energy in very short pulses: the pigment heats up and breaks into small particles before the surrounding skin overheats. 1064 nm targets dark pigments (black, blue); 532 nm targets reds and warm shades. The number of sessions depends on the colour, depth and density of the pigment.
