RRS® (Repairing Rejuvenating Skin) is a line of injectables from the Spanish company Skin Tech Pharma Group. HA Long Lasting is a bio-meso hybrid: it combines the properties of a classic filler and a biorevitalizer. At its core is stabilised (cross-linked) non-animal hyaluronic acid, 21 mg per 3 ml, in a buffer of 15 amino acids. Its job isn't simply to flood the skin with moisture for a couple of weeks but to hold the result: raise dermal density and firmness, and extend the effect compared with standard biorevitalizers. Suitable for face, neck, décolleté and the back of the hands — as a standalone course or as groundwork before fillers and device treatments. A consultation is required; contraindications apply.

How it works

Paramed

The skin is cleansed and disinfected, then a numbing cream is applied for 20–25 minutes. The product is delivered by microinjection into the mid dermis — papular or linear-retrograde technique depending on the area. A face session takes 30–40 minutes. It finishes with a soothing product and SPF.

What separates Long Lasting from standard biorevitalizers isn't how much hyaluronic acid it contains but its form. Cross-linked (stabilised) HA breaks down more slowly than non-cross-linked HA and acts as a moisture reservoir in the mid dermis for longer — so the interval between sessions is longer and the course is shorter. The amino-acid buffer — 15 amino acids, 14.52 mg per 3 ml — protects the hyaluronic acid from rapid breakdown and helps skin cells cope with post-injection stress. One 3 ml syringe is usually enough for a full-face session.

? How does Long Lasting differ from standard biorevitalization? ⌄

In the form of the hyaluronic acid. In RRS it is cross-linked (stabilised) and protected by a buffer of 15 amino acids, so it resorbs more slowly: the interval between sessions is longer, the course is shorter (2–3 instead of 4–5) and the result holds longer.

? How long does the result last? ⌄

After a full course, roughly 3–4 months, after which a maintenance session is recommended. The exact duration depends on age, skin condition, lifestyle and smoking.

? Will injection marks show? ⌄

Papules last 1–2 days. On thin skin small bruises are possible for up to 5 days. Plan the session about a week before any important event.

? Can it be combined with fillers or botulinum toxin? ⌄

Yes, this is a common combination. Biorevitalization is usually done before, or 1–2 weeks after, botulinum toxin and fillers — your practitioner will set the exact sequence at the consultation.

? Is it painful? ⌄

A numbing cream is applied beforehand, so the sensation is manageable. The sensitive areas are around the eyes and the back of the hands.

A standard course is 2–3 sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart. Because cross-linked HA resorbs more slowly, the course is shorter than with entry-level biorevitalizers. Maintenance is one session every 3–4 months. Full effect is assessed 3–4 weeks after the last session.

Against biorevitalizers built on non-cross-linked HA (Hyalual, Jalupro) and meso-cocktails such as NCTF 135, RRS HA Long Lasting contains cross-linked hyaluronic acid — it stays in the skin longer, so fewer sessions are needed and the effect lasts longer. Against Novacutan Y-Bio the shared idea is "HA + amino acids", but in RRS the acid is stabilised and the focus is on how long the result holds. Against polynucleotides (Rejuran, Plinest) the mechanism differs: RRS works through cross-linked hyaluronic acid, polynucleotides through PDRN-driven regeneration.
