What is Harmony XL Pro
ParamedHarmony XL Pro is a multi-application laser and light platform from the Israeli company Alma Lasers. Instead of a separate device for each job, it runs interchangeable modules: AFT light handpieces for vessels, pigment and photorejuvenation, the ClearLift laser, Q-Switched Nd:YAG for tattoos, ClearSkin for acne, fractional Erbium, infrared NIR and phototherapy modules. So in one consultation the doctor can build a plan of several treatments for your skin — and some of them combine in a single visit.

How a treatment goes
ParamedAt the consultation the doctor assesses your skin and phototype and chooses the module (or a combination); a small test spot is done if needed. A session takes from 10–15 to 30–40 minutes depending on the module and area. Usually you can go straight back to your day; Erbium resurfacing may need a short recovery. SPF is a must.

? How is AFT different from regular IPL? ⌄
AFT converts part of the spectrum into the useful range, so the light acts more precisely with less unnecessary radiation.

Most modules are comfortable — you feel warmth or light pricking. Numbing cream is used for Erbium resurfacing.
? Can I have it in summer? ⌄
NIR and some ClearLift protocols, yes, with strict SPF. Vessels, pigment and resurfacing are better planned for autumn–winter.

From 1–3 (vessels, pigment) to a course of several (ClearLift, NIR, tattoo) — the doctor plans it.

ParamedHow many sessions you need
ParamedIt depends on the module and the goal: vessels and pigment usually take 1–3 sessions, ClearLift and NIR a course of several (NIR usually 3–4), tattoo removal several sessions a few weeks apart, and phototherapy a course of 2–3 sessions a week. The doctor sets the exact plan.
