The Excimer 308 nm laser delivers concentrated ultraviolet B light to a small window, so it can treat a plaque or patch while sparing the skin around it. Narrowband UVB 311 nm emits a slightly longer wavelength over a wider field. In psoriasis, the light helps calm and flatten plaques. In vitiligo, it aims to stimulate pigment cells.
