Lumenis LightSheer Duet / Quattro in Baku — and what Paramed runs instead
Lumenis LightSheer Duet and Quattro are well-known diode lasers (810 nm) with vacuum assist and ChillTip cooling. At Paramed we don't run LightSheer as a standalone — diode 810 nm is part of Soprano ICE / Platinum / Titanium.

About Lumenis LightSheer
ParamedLumenis is an Israeli company (also known for the UltraPulse and ResurFX medical lasers). The LightSheer lineup is a series of 810 nm diode hair-removal lasers. Best-known models: LightSheer Duet (High-Speed vacuum-assist handpiece), LightSheer Quattro (four wavelengths including 805 and 1060 nm) and LightSheer Desire. The platforms use sapphire ChillTip cooling or vacuum to reduce pain. In Baku LightSheer is searched as "Lumenis hair removal", "LightSheer Duet price", "LightSheer Quattro". At Paramed we don't use LightSheer as a standalone device — diode 810 nm is included in Alma Lasers Soprano ICE, Platinum and Titanium. Contraindications apply.

ParamedOriginal Soprano platforms (Alma Lasers)
Paramed uses original Soprano ICE, Platinum and Titanium platforms by Alma Lasers (Israel), with original handpieces and safety-first protocols.
How we pick the platform
ParamedAt the consultation we assess phototype, hair type and density, skin sensitivity. The Soprano device (ICE, Platinum or Titanium) is matched to that profile. If you've had a positive experience with LightSheer elsewhere — share it, that helps us pick comparable parameters faster.
LightSheer vs Soprano — quick technology overview
ParamedLumenis LightSheer Duet is a 810 nm diode laser with two handpieces: a small one (ChillTip cooling) and a large one (High-Speed vacuum). The vacuum pulls skin into the handpiece, reducing pain sensation. LightSheer Quattro adds extra wavelengths (805 + 1060 nm) for broader phototype coverage. Architecture: pulses delivered at a single wavelength per flash. Alma Lasers Soprano Titanium is also a diode platform, but combines three wavelengths (alexandrite 755 nm + diode 810 nm + Nd:YAG 1064 nm) in one handpiece, with SHR + In-Motion gradual heating and active ICE contact cooling. The 4 cm² window speeds up large areas without needing vacuum.
- LightSheer Duet — 810 nm, ChillTip + vacuum
- LightSheer Quattro — 805 + 1060 nm + 4 handpieces
- Soprano Titanium — 755 + 810 + 1064 nm in one impulse
- Soprano: SHR + In-Motion + ICE cooling
- Soprano: 4 cm² spot vs LightSheer's point pulse
Course plan
ParamedA course is 5–8 sessions at 4–6 week intervals, whether on LightSheer or Soprano.
Lumenis LightSheer vs Alma Soprano
Paramed- Well-known platform, established brand
- Vacuum High-Speed handpiece reduces pain
- ChillTip — sapphire contact cooling
- High power across the main follicle range
- Single wavelength only (810 nm)
- No alexandrite 755 nm for fine hair
- No Nd:YAG 1064 nm for dark phototypes
- Pulse-based, not In-Motion
- Two wavelengths (diode + near-Nd:YAG)
- Extended phototype coverage
- 4 handpieces for different areas
- Wavelengths switch, not in the same impulse
- No alexandrite 755 nm for fine hair
- Three wavelengths in one impulse
- 4 cm² spot — large areas faster, no vacuum needed
- SHR + In-Motion — gradual heating, fewer sharp shots
- Active sapphire-tip ICE contact cooling
- Paramed — 4 Soprano platforms in one clinic
- Parameters set individually at consultation

FAQ
Paramed? Do you have Lumenis LightSheer? ⌄
No — we don't use a standalone Lumenis LightSheer. For laser hair removal we run Alma Lasers Soprano (ICE, Platinum, Titanium). Diode 810 nm is also part of the Soprano platform.
? LightSheer or Soprano — which is better? ⌄
No universal answer. LightSheer Duet is a 810 nm diode with vacuum High-Speed and ChillTip cooling. Soprano Titanium combines alexandrite 755 nm + diode 810 nm + Nd:YAG 1064 nm in one handpiece with SHR/In-Motion and ICE cooling. Selection depends on phototype, hair type and area.
? How is LightSheer's vacuum different from Soprano's In-Motion? ⌄
LightSheer High-Speed uses vacuum — the handpiece pulls skin in to reduce pain. Soprano uses In-Motion with active ICE contact cooling — the handpiece glides smoothly across gel, heating the follicle gradually. Two different approaches to reducing discomfort.
? Are Lumenis LightSheer Quattro and Soprano Titanium the same? ⌄
No. Quattro has four handpieces and switches between 805 + 1060 nm. Soprano Titanium combines 755 + 810 + 1064 nm in ONE handpiece in ONE impulse. Different architectures.
? Who is diode hair removal suitable for in general? ⌄
Diode 810 nm is versatile across hair thickness and less sensitive to phototype than pure alexandrite. Works well on large areas. On Soprano it's complemented by alexandrite for fine hair and Nd:YAG for darker phototypes.
? How much is laser hair removal at Paramed? ⌄
