At Paramed we treat the intimate area (bikini), the groin (inguinal) and perianal region, the underarms, as well as the mons pubis, inner thighs and nipples. Darkening here is often caused by friction, shaving/epilation, hormonal changes and post-inflammatory pigmentation. We offer two approaches: the gentle Pink Intimate System (a cosmetic course) and the Alma Pixel CO2 fractional laser with a computer-guided scanner — for more stubborn pigmentation. The doctor chooses the method at consultation based on the area, skin type and degree of pigmentation.

At the consultation the doctor examines the area, assesses skin type and the degree of pigmentation, and selects the method. Pink Intimate System: the skin is cleansed and the lightening formula is applied; the procedure is gentle, suits sensitive skin and is performed as a course with intervals. Alma Pixel CO2: a topical anaesthetic is applied if needed, then the fractional laser with a computer-guided scanner treats the area evenly; mild redness and temporary darkening followed by skin renewal are possible afterwards. A single session takes about 20–40 minutes depending on the area and method. The exact plan and number of sessions are set by the doctor.

Pink Intimate System is a professional lightening system for delicate areas. It contains stabilized MCA, enhanced kojic acid, bisabolol and glycyrrhetinic acid — lightening and soothing actives that are gentle on sensitive skin. Alma Pixel CO2 is a fractional CO2 laser: it renews the surface layer of the skin and stimulates regeneration, giving a more even, lighter tone. The computer-guided scanner ensures precise, uniform coverage of the area. The laser works deeper than topicals, so it suits stubborn pigmentation and needs fewer sessions.

Preparation & aftercare

Avoid shaving, epilation and harsh products in the area for 2–3 days before.
Avoid sun and self-tanner on the treatment area.
Tell the doctor about any medications and chronic conditions.
Do not schedule the procedure with active inflammation, irritation or herpes in the area.
Arrive with clean skin, free of creams and oils.
Mention any tendency to pigmentation and allergies.

After the procedure

Avoid sun, sauna, steam room and pool for a few days.
Wear loose cotton underwear and avoid friction.
Avoid intense exercise and sweating for 48 hours.
Use gentle care and the products recommended by your doctor.
Do not rub or exfoliate the area until fully recovered.
After the laser, temporary darkening and light peeling are normal — follow the aftercare.
