ParamedFor hair removal Fotona uses a long-pulse Nd:YAG 1064 nm laser on its SP Dynamis platform — it penetrates deeply and suits dark skin, but works less well on light and fine hair and feels more intense. Soprano (Alma Lasers, Israel) is a diode platform: Soprano Titanium combines three wavelengths — 755, 810 and 1064 nm — with the cooled In-Motion technique, so it covers hair of different thickness and depth more comfortably. Paramed doesn't have a Fotona device — we do hair removal on Soprano. Contraindications apply.

How a session goes
ParamedAt the consultation we check your phototype and hair type and do a test patch if needed. A Soprano session uses gliding passes with cooling; you can go straight back to your day.
How the methods work
ParamedNd:YAG 1064 nm is the 'deepest' wavelength: safer for dark skin, but weakly absorbed by the melanin in light and fine hair. Soprano Titanium works at 755 nm (fine and light hair), 810 nm (all-round) and 1064 nm (deep follicles, darker skin) at once, and In-Motion heats gradually with gliding passes and cooling.
