Fotona (Slovenia) is a laser manufacturer; its main aesthetic platform, SP Dynamis, combines two lasers — Er:YAG (2940 nm) for resurfacing and skin renewal and Nd:YAG (1064 nm) for deep heating, vessels and hair removal; protocols such as Fotona 4D run on it. Harmony XL Pro (Alma Lasers, Israel) is a platform with interchangeable modules: AFT light handpieces for vessels, pigment and photorejuvenation, ClearLift, Q-Switched Nd:YAG, ClearSkin, fractional Erbium, NIR and phototherapy. Paramed doesn't have a Fotona device — we work on Harmony XL Pro. Contraindications apply.

How the platforms differ

Fotona relies on two lasers and its own modes (Smooth, FRAC3, PIANO). Harmony XL Pro relies on a broad set of task-specific modules: vessels and rosacea (Dye-VL), pigment (Dye-SR), photorejuvenation (Dye-PL), tattoos (Q-Switched), acne (ClearSkin), resurfacing (Erbium), skin tightening (NIR) and phototherapy (Excimer 308 / UVB 311).

? Which is better — Fotona or Harmony? ⌄

Both are strong platforms. Fotona is built around Er:YAG and Nd:YAG; Harmony around a broad set of task-specific modules. The choice depends on your skin concern.

? Does Harmony have an Er:YAG resurfacing equivalent? ⌄

Yes — fractional Erbium / iPixel (Er:YAG 2940 nm).

? And an equivalent to Fotona 4D laser lifting? ⌄

For lifting we use Accent Prime and NIR on Harmony; for texture, ClearLift and Erbium.
