The CO2 laser removes benign skin lesions — papillomas, warts, milia, skin tags, seborrheic keratosis — precisely and bloodlessly. The beam vaporizes tissue layer by layer under depth control without affecting healthy skin, so healing is fast and the scar risk is minimal. At Paramed removal is done by indication after examination and dermatoscopy; lesions are sent for histology when needed. Contraindications apply.
The doctor examines the lesion, performs dermatoscopy and confirms indications. Under local anaesthesia the CO2 laser removes the lesion layer by layer in a few minutes; a crust forms and falls off in 7–14 days. Doubtful lesions are sent for histology.
The CO2 laser (10,600 nm) is absorbed by water in the tissue and vaporizes the lesion layer by layer; vessel coagulation makes the procedure virtually bloodless. Compared with a scalpel it's more precise with less scar risk; compared with electrocoagulation it offers controlled depth and a clean margin. Examination and dermatoscopy before removal are mandatory.
Papillomas, warts, milia, skin tags, seborrheic keratosis and other benign lesions — by indication after examination.
Controlled depth and bloodlessness minimize the risk; a crust forms at the site and falls off within 1–2 weeks.
Yes, any doubtful lesion is sent for histological examination.
The procedure is done under local anaesthesia and is well tolerated.
Pigmented lesions (nevi) are removed only after examination and by indication; some require an oncologist consult and histology.
Book an examination — we'll assess the lesion and confirm indications for CO2-laser removal.
