Overview

Athlete's foot (tinea pedis) is a fungal infection of the skin between the toes and on the soles — itching, peeling, redness and cracks. We confirm the diagnosis (incl. Wood's lamp), prescribe an antifungal protocol and can support it with laser; nail fungus is treated separately with ClearChoice. Contraindications apply.

Benefits

  • Relief from itching, peeling and cracks
  • Targeted antifungal treatment
  • Lower risk of spread to nails and others
  • Prevention of reinfection

How it goes

We examine and diagnose the infection, prescribe an antifungal regimen and hygiene plan, and review progress; laser support is added if needed.

How it works

After diagnosis the dermatologist/podologist selects topical or systemic antifungals and hygiene measures; laser can support stubborn cases. Treating footwear and household contacts prevents reinfection.

  • Diagnosis incl. Wood's lamp

Comparison

Compared to traditional topical treatments, our approach combines antifungal protocols with laser support, which can enhance effectiveness and reduce treatment time. While over-the-counter solutions may provide temporary relief, they often do not address the underlying fungal infection as thoroughly as our comprehensive treatment plan.
